SACRO OCCIPITAL TECHNIQUE
Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) is a specialised and gentle technique that focuses on the relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine) and the occiput (base of the skull) and their ability to promote the movement of cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) to the brain and throughout the nervous system.
SOT also recognises the important role of normal cranial function in health and disease and thus addresses cranial and sutural issues within the adjustment. SOT consists of a three category system that is used to assess, diagnose and treat dysfunction within the body.
Our nervous system can only function optimally when body structures are balanced and our pelvis is stable. This is essentially what SOT aims to achieve.
